January 04: Cairo For Development files lawsuit to fine Peugeot '150 m for its losses

ArabFinance: Arabia Investments, Development's (AIND) subsidiary, Cairo For Development & Cars Manufacturing (CDCM) has filed a lawsuit to the Egyptian Economic Court against Peugeot Automobiles France Company.

Cairo For Development has required 150 million euro as compensation for losses, resulting from the arbitrary action regarding annulment the agency contract.

The Company added in a statement sent to EGX, Economic Court assigned May 21, 2018, the first hearing session to review the claim.

March 28: Arabia Investments losses shrink to LE180 m in 2017

ArabFinance: Arabia Investments, Development (AIND) announced in a statement sent to EGX, the audited financial results for the fiscal period starting January 1, 2017, and ending December 31, 2017.

The company incurred consolidated net losses of LE180,389,559, versus net losses of LE266,391,955 in the same period a year ago, taking into account the minority rights.

February 28: Arabia Investments unit report 16% profit growth in 2017

ArabFinance: Arabia Investments, Development (AIND) stated in a statement sent to EGX, its subsidiary Misr Company for Mechanical and Electrical Projects - KAHROMIKA has posted 16% growth in net profits of 2017.

ArabFinance: Upper Egypt Lease Company, a subsidiary of Arabia Investments, Development (AIND) reports its double-digit growth on top line and bottom line for the fourth consecutive year, as the Company revenues have grown by 4-CAGR of over 50% to reach LE186 million.

According to the annual general meeting dated Monday, January 22, 2018, Upper Egypt Leasing approved its annual statements for the year ended December 31, 2017, with doubling of revenues and net profits over a 2 year period, which revealed net profit of LE8.3 million, implying a return on capital (ROC) of 27.2%.
